Fresh Information Surface About the Discovery of Rob and Michele Singer Reiner's Remains

New information has come to light about the shocking deaths of esteemed filmmaker Rob Reiner and photographer Michele Singer Reiner, whose bodies were found at their residence residence on Sunday.

The Alarm

A source indicates citing a family associate, a practitioner arriving for an appointment first raised the alarm after failing to get inside the residence. The practitioner then got in touch with the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides close by.

When she went into the residence, Romy found her father's body. Accounts indicate she then exited the property overwhelmed with grief, without knowing at that moment that her mother's body was also present. A companion who had accompanied her contacted 911. Afterward, first responders located Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Proceedings

Law enforcement have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with two counts of first-degree murder, along with the use of a dangerous weapon, reportedly a knife. He is currently being held and denied bail.

Correcting the Record

The person close to the family questioned several earlier details. They said that while Romy Reiner told first responders that her brother Nick resided in a separate structure on the grounds, she did not point to him as a person of interest at that juncture.

Additionally disputed published notions that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been unusually "apprehensive" about Nick's conduct in the weeks leading up to the incident. Instead the family was "used to working through [Nick's] problems together."

The statement applies to descriptions of reportedly "erratic" conduct by Nick at a party held by Conan O'Brien on the night before the discovery. While the source stated they were unable to confirm whether Rob had "scolded" his son at the party, they asserted that suggestions of a "heated argument" between the two were inaccurate.

Investigation Details

According to law enforcement officials, the coroner had not yet established as of Tuesday whether the Reiners died Saturday night or on Sunday. Preliminary accounts noted the state of their bodies suggested they had been dead for some hours.

Nick Reiner was taken into custody at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the neighbourhood of Exposition Park, roughly 15 miles from the family home. He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, but his legal counsel, Alan Jackson, said his client had not been medically cleared and would be unable to attend until Wednesday at the earliest.
