Devoted followers of Ariana Grande are demanding that a person who jumped a fence and grabbed the performer during the recent Wicked: For Good premiere be taken into custody or removed from Singapore.

A circulating video depicts the person identified as Johnson Wen pushing past camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the actors walked down a event pathway surrounded by onlookers.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the shocked actress away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the premiere by security officers.

Mr Wen stated on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being arrested", though court documents revealed that he was scheduled to be present on Friday morning. It is uncertain if he was faced legal action.

Pattern of Incidents

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who labels himself a "Controversial Figure", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram profile features videos of him disrupting other celebrity events, including breaching the performance area at the artist's Sydney concert in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers performance in the area last winter.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is obviously a punishable act," wrote an Instagram follower, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user questioned.

Fans Express Concern Over the Star's Past Trauma

Numerous followers accused Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed dealing with trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the end of her spring 2017 performance in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and harming numerous individuals.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said a further response on Instagram.

Some supporters also questioned guards at the gathering for not being vigilant enough; while different individuals requested online networks to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Event Details

In videos circulating online, Grande looked startled when she was touched by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be spotted consoling her while Mr Wen was led out by staff.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

Fans at Wicked premiere
Hundreds of Singapore fans had lined up to meet the performers of Wicked

Hundreds of attendees had gathered in a mass of emerald and rose at the Wicked: For Good regional debut in a Singapore mall, including a number who had stood in line for as long as a significant duration before it began.

The movie, to be released on 21 November, is the second of a two-film interpretation of the well-known theatrical musical Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely bond between two contrasting sorceresses.

The show itself is a spin-off of the 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was decked out in a light pink sequin dress at the event while Erivo, who plays the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were alongside co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of last year in the UK, and received ten Academy Award nods, securing two for excellent wardrobe and set decoration.
